Thematic fiche about the Gold Standard micro scale projects

This thematic fiche considers Gold Standard micro scale projects as an alternative for funding emissions reduction projects vis-à-vis the more well known Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

Smaller micro scale projects in developing countries often face bureaucratic challenges when trying to earn Certified Emission Reduction certificates, and therefore the Gold Standard may be of help. The Gold Standard foundation is a non-profit organisation endorsed by over 60 environment and development NGO’s. The standard can be applied to voluntary offset projects and to CDM projects that are renewable energy and energy efficiency focused.

This thematic fiche describes the steps required to establish micro scale Gold Standard projects.
